The STM silencer, entirely made of polystyrene, is installed in all the linings after a circular hole has been made in the wall and a PVC sleeve Ø 125 mm has been sealed. Installation can be done inside the lining with an adjustment sleeve or a front side that can be inspected and removed to facilitate maintenance.
It is associated with an MG 22, 30 or 45 m³/h self-regulating or ISOLA HY humidity-controlled air inlet.
Drill the wall and seal a PVC sleeve Ø 125 mm with a slight slope towards the outside.
On the exterior side, fit the louvred grille once the coatings are finished.
Recessed mounting 1: Fix the silencer to the wall without removing it. Do not forget to cover the walls of the STM with insulation in order to avoid any thermal bridges. The MPR sleeve must penetrate at least 10 mm into the STM.
Implementation of STM in double thicknesses
80 + 10 to 100 + 10 mm.
For higher double thicknesses, provide a second adjustment sleeve. Screw the air inlet.
Visible assembly 2: Cut the lining to the outside dimensions of the box, i.e. 160 x 500 mm minimum, taking the axis of the Ø 125 hole centered on the silencer as a reference point. Remove the front side of the silencer. Fix 2 cleats on the wall to screw the STM box to it (4 pre-drilled holes), the frame coming flat against the drywall to provide a perfect finish. The gasket on the rear cuff prevents leaks. Fit and screw the cover into the box using 6 screws. Screw the air inlet.
