The CTM roof vent is used for the air outlet or air intake of installations using mechanical ventilation systems: single and double flow CMV, domestic kitchen hoods.
It adapts to practically all tile or slate roofing systems, and ensures a good seal.
For CTM Ø 125 to 160 mm:
Before installation, it is advisable to apply patina oil to the lead plate in order to avoid any dirt on the neighboring tiles.
– Remove the rain cover (1) clipped onto the sleeve.
– Form the sheet of lead (2) so that it conforms to the underlying shape while avoiding the crimping area.
– If it is a tiled roof, it is advisable to add some blocks in the direction of the battens to support the sheet of lead in (A) and (B).
– Install the rain cover with the air flow perpendicular to the slope of the roof (see figure opposite).
Warning: it is important to check the airtightness of the duct/ventilation box and the roof duct/vent.
For CTM Ø 200 to 630 mm:
– Remove the rain cover (1) held by 4 screws (2 screws on CTM 200 – 250 – 315).
– Fix the support plate (3) to the framework using the maximum number of holes provided for this purpose.
– Form the sheet of lead (2) so that it conforms to the underlying shape while avoiding the crimping area.
– Install the rain cover with the air flow perpendicular to the slope of the roof (see figure opposite).
– It is essential to replace and lock the 4 fixing screws.
– Connect the metal sheath (4) to the ventilation duct.
Warning: it is important to check the airtightness of the duct/ventilation box and the roof duct/vent.
